I Was Like the Frog Living in a Well
Before I stepped through the door of my first CV class, I was very much like the frog living in a well—I call it the well frog. However, after I did the four modules and graduated from CV4, my world expanded—I was transformed and became an ocean frog.
I continued my journey in CV, getting involved with all the activities: CV LOG, CVGRAD, MENTOREE, MASTERMIND etc. After three and half years in this journey with Linda and the CV family, WOW!!! I can’t tell you all how much my life has changed. In CV, we call it a 3M MOMENT: ( meaningful, memorable and magical).
Before CV, my daily routine went this way: wake up in the morning, go to work and in the afternoon, either I went back home for my long nap or to the golf course. This pattern went on for 15 years.
Looking back, it reminds me of the hamster in the cage: day in and day out, doing the same old things. I was unwilling to get out of my comfort zone. I thought I was happy with my life and that I had everything I wanted. Not until I went to CV1 did I realize that was really shallow. I was ignorant, unawakened and lived in my EGO!
In CV1, I learned to listen, to look people in their eyes, to open up through letting go of judgment and to connect with my heart instead of my mind. Amazing things happened after CV1. In just four short days, I, the well frog, managed to jump out of that well, and suddenly the world became so huge and colorful.
The most awesome thing is that my relationship with my wife and my children has become so loving, joyful, open and filled with deeper connection. Like me, they are graduates of CV, and we are all part of this large CV family around the world.
Before CV, my pursuit of happiness was about accumulation of wealth and recognition.
There is nothing wrong with seeking financial freedom, but today I pursue a life of creating more joy, freedom, meaning and purpose for me, my loved ones and my community.
And guess what? The well frog that transformed into an ocean frog has now become a universal frog.
